Health Quarters’ Lawrence clinic health center offers high quality free or low-cost family planning and reproductive health care. We provide gynecological exams, birth control and emergency contraception (Plan B), cervical and breast cancer screening, sexually transmitted disease (STD) diagnosis and treatment, and rapid HIV and pregnancy testing and counseling. Our office is located in downtown Lawrence and serves residents of Lawrence, Methuen and many more surrounding communities. In most cases, we can offer you a same or next day appointment.

This health center offers advanced diagnostic testing for cervical cancer. In addition to a Pap smear, which is a test to collect cells from the cervix that is part of a routine gynecological exam, we can perform an in-office colposcopy if abnormal cells are discovered. The test, which views the cervix more closely and obtains tissue samples, is performed by a specially-trained nurse practitioner. Laboratory analysis of the sample is used to look for abnormalities that might suggest the presence of cervical cancer or infection and inflammation. En español >>
El Centro de Salud de Health Quarters ha comenzado a ofrecer exámenes avanzados para el diagnóstico del cáncer cervical. Además del papanicolaou, una prueba que recoge las células de la cérvix que es parte del examen rutinario ginecológico, Health Quarters puede ahora ofrecer una colposcopia realizada en la oficina a sus pacientes, si algunas células anormales son descubiertas. El examen, el cual ve la cérvix más de cerca y obtiene muestras de tejidos, es realizado pro una enfermera registrada certificada especialmente entrenada. From Route 495 North: Take Route 495 North to Exit 44-45 to Marston Street. Travel under Route 495 and veer right onto Marston Street. Take first left off Marston Street and follow sign for Lawrence General Hospital. At first set of lights, take a right onto Union Street. At first set of lights, take a left onto Haverhill Street. Continue on Haverhill Street for approximately 1.0 miles. Take a left onto Amesbury Street and then take an immediate right into large parking lot. Health Quarters is located on the second floor, Suite 202.
From Route 495 South: Take Route 495 South to Exit 44-45 to Marston Street and follow directions above.
From Route 114 West: Continue on Route 114 West, past Route 495, and stay straight onto and over Joseph W. Casey Bridge. Turn right onto Canal Street, continue 0.1 miles, turn left onto Lawrence Street, continue 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Lowell Street, continue 0.1 mile and turn left onto Amesbury Street and then take an immediate right into large parking lot. Health Quarters is located on the second floor, Suite 202.
