Virtually all STIs are treatable and most are easily cured. The key is to get tested and to know your status. We don’t want anything to stand in your way so that’s why we offer easy and convenient at-home STI testing kits to our patients in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We make testing easy so that you can rest easy in the knowledge that you are in excellent sexual health.
In the Comfort of Your Home
How It Works
Find Your Tests
Take our medically-guided quiz to help identify which tests are right for you and place your order. A licensed HealthQ clinician will review and approve your order.
Receive Your Box
We’ll mail everything you need to collect your urine and/or blood and other samples in a discreet box.
Collect Your Sample
In the privacy of your own home, you will collect urine in a sample tube and/or prick your finger for blood. Depending on your test, you may also be asked to collect a vaginal, rectal or throat swab. All of these are painless and easy to do.
Get Results
Your sample will be processed by a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory. Your results will be posted on your private patient portal. If you have a positive result, a HealthQ clinician will send a prescription to your local pharmacy and/or call you to discuss treatment issues and options and link you to treatment and/or further testing as appropriate. Your data is never shared with a third party and it is completely anonymized.
Benefits of At-Home Testing
- Anytime, anywhere testing. Finally, an STD test that you can do on your time, and in your own space.
- Private. The process is completely private and comes in discreet packaging.
- Medically-guided. Supportive lab and clinic personnel are available to answer questions during the process by chat.
Not Sure Which Tests Are Right For You?
Take our medically-guided quiz to help identify which tests are right for you based on CDC and US Preventive Services Task Force standards.
Instead of just collecting urine and/or blood, we also have you collect a vaginal swab, throat swab, and/or rectal swab. This makes it possible to test for oral and anal STDs that might otherwise be missed, and is a great option for people who have unprotected oral and/or anal sex.
If you have any of the following symptoms, call HealthQ for an appointment. Don’t wait for at-home test results.
- Fever or chills
- Lower abdominal pain
- Abnormal discharge from the vagina or penis
- Vaginal bleeding not related to your period
- Burning with urination
- Sores or bumps in your vaginal or penile area
AT HEALTHQ WE DON’T WANT MONEY TO DRIVE YOUR HEALTH DECISIONS
First, testing in one of our offices will most likely be covered by insurance. So, if you do not want to pay out-of-pocket, please make an appointment to come into one of our locations.
We offer limited financial assistance for at-home test kits to people who are Massachusetts residents, do not have insurance, and are considered to be low income. Call or text HealthQ at 978-927-9824 to check your eligibility for financial assistance.
Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot bill insurance for at-home STI testing.
